Coming into freshman year, I was looking for a community and I ended up coming across His House. The love and fellowship that I experienced when I started getting involved was unlike anything I had ever known before. The light of Jesus shines so brightly through every person I have met at His House and my relationship with Jesus has been strengthened so much through the community I found here. I am so thankful the life, joy, and freedom I have found through a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and through getting involved at His House!
I’m in my third year of being involved in His House and it’s been a total blessing to my life. I was able to immediately grow close to so many different people and continue to because of how kind and welcoming the community here is. His house has so many different opportunities and events to help you grow in your faith. Because of His House and the community I finally had the courage to proclaim my faith to others and get baptized!
Ever since I stared attending His House, I’ve had many opportunities to grow in my relationship with the lord. I’m so appreciative of all that the His House community has done for me over the past couple of years. Being a part of this community is an absolute blessing and I’m excited to see how God will continue to work through the church!
Heading into college, my biggest prayer was that God would provide me with a community of believers that strives to love God, love people, and become more like Jesus. God answered that prayer and gave me more than I could even imagine through HisHouse! Through HisHouse, I have found the most joyful, loving, and uplifting friendships, mentors that are intentional about supporting me and my faith unconditionally and with no judgment, opportunities to spread God’s love across the nation through missions trips, and overall a community that has become my home away from home. I will be forever grateful for HisHouse and can full heartedly say it has been my biggest blessing throughout my time at CMU!!
